Anna 7 Months

Happy, happy, happy...Our little Anna is a very happy 7-month old. She has changed a lot this month. She went from rocking on all 4's to full crawling just today! She doesn't seem to be a baby that needs a rigid "schedule" (which is a good thing considering that I have had trouble being on much of a schedule at all!). She has become more regular this month as far as eating and sleeping at around the same times. During the middle of the month, as if someone had flipped a switch, her naps became longer and more restful for her (and us!). She loves laughing, squealing, being tickled and babbling, "mamama", "dadadaa", "baba", "glaa"....
Anna loves her big sister. As a mom, it's the BEST watching the two of them interact. They really do love each other. Anna is a true gift and we are so thankful for her!

Some action shots of Anna putting a few crawls together.

And here she is...CRAWLING!

Good News!

Good news!! Our nephew Charlie got to come home yesterday! The following is from Corey's sister's blog...

The day has finally arrived! After 46 days in the NICU, Charlie was discharged today! He weighed 4 pounds 15 ounces and is 18 inches long! He certainly tried his hardest to get to 5 pounds! Charlie came home without an apena monitor, and has several follow appointments in the next few weeks. You think a newborn looks little in a car seat? Charlie is so tiny!

Plastic Box

Once again, the big plastic box proves to be the favorite toy. Anna is getting mobile in that she can scoot, roll and squirm her way to most anything she wants. She saw the big plastic box and just had to play with it.

Swim Lessons

Cate completed her last swim lesson on Saturday. She loved the water and had so much fun with her daddy. Corey's parents came to watch the lesson and were able to get these great shots.

Our Valentine's

Happy Valentine's Day!

St. Baldrick's (again)

St. Baldrick's is a foundation that is very dear to my heart. I am pleased to be helping this year by volunteering for the event. One of the fund raisers on the day of the event is a silent autction. If you, or anyone you know, would like to donate items/goods/services for the silent auction, please let me know. I will get you in touch with the right people! Thanks so much!!!

Last weekend we packed up the troops and headed south. This was Anna's first road trip, and she did wonderfully! We stayed with our good friends, Erik and Jenny.

Corey, Cate and I shared a room. Kind of Cate's first "sleep over" experience. We thought nothing of it...until Corey and I came to bed at about midnight. Cate woke up and was so excited to have us in her room, she just couldn't sleep. She talked and sang and cracked us up, until about 3am! Some Cate quotes from the night..."Mommy, you need to put your pants on!" "I hear a train! Chugga chugga choo choo!" "Where's daddy?" "Are you sleeping, mommy?" We were pretty tired, but she was being so funny, we just couldn't be mad at her. :0)

So, here are some pictures from the weekend. The first is of Anna and Erik and Jenny's daughter, Ella. Ella is 11 months old and just adorable! She is sweet, funny and easy going. Thanks for sharing your room, Ella!

Our good friends Monica, Emily, Collin, Michelle and the Myers family, met us at the Cincinnati Museum Center on Saturday. The kids had a great time playing!

The kids. Cate, Evan, Avery, Anna and Ella. Avery is just 3 weeks older than Anna.

Cate and Evan played so well together on Saturday night. We all sat around watching them play...how times have changed!

Here's a picture of Cate and Evan from about 2 years ago.

We had such a great time and just can't thank Erik and Jenny enough for their wonderful hospitality.

St. Baldricks

St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family.

This year, my brother Jake has volunteered to shave his head in the name of childhood cancer. If you know my brother, you know he enjoys a clean cut, but has vowed to let his hair grow for the event. If you wish to support my bro, you can go to the St. Baldrick's Foundation website, search "find an event" in Canton, Ohio. My brother is "Jake Morgan". Thanks, all!

One of my favorite things is getting the girls up in the morning or from naps. They are always so warm and cuddly and their hair is always all crazy, I just love it! Here are a few pictures of the girls that I took as soon as they woke.

Cate is really taking to her "big sister" role. She loves to help with Anna. Anna just loves every time her big sister pays attention to her, so she didn't even mind when her big sis was "helping" her drink her water.

On a recent visit with her Nana, Cate enjoyed two of her favorite things, baking cookies and spending time with her grandparents.
